THE LEAGUE IS IN EXISTANCE TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY STRUCTURE FOR 29 MEMBER TEAMS TO COMPETE AGAINST EACH OTHER. THE LEAGUE PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS SUCH AS GAME SCHEDULING, PROVIDING ON AND OFF ICE OFFICIATING, AND PROMOTING THE LEAGUE THROUGH PRINTED PUBLICATIONS SUCH AS THE ANNUAL MEDIA GUIDE.
