THIS YEAR, THE CENTER PROVIDED INSTRUCTION TO STUDENTS WHO WERE METER TECHNICIANS AND ENGINEERS, FROM THROUGHOUT THE GREAT LAKES REGION. PRESENTATIONS WERE GIVEN ON BOTH STANDARD AND NEW METER PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES. INDUSTRY EXPERTS AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS PROVIDED INSTRUCTION. THE SESSIONS INCLUDED COMPUTER OPERATING SYSTEMS, BASIC INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED INSTRUCTION. METER MANUFACTURERS ATTENDED TO DISPLAY THE LATEST IN METER TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT. PARTICIPANTS HAD AN OPPORTUNITY FOR HANDS ON LAB INTEGRATED INTO CLASSROOM WORK, AS WELL AS OPEN LABS IN THE EVENING. METER DISPLAYS INCLUDED SINGLE-PHASE AND POLYPHASE CURRENT TRANSFORMER RATED INSTALLATION AND METER BASE VOLTAGE CHECKS. OTHER FEATURES INCLUDED SINGLE-PHASE AND POLYPHASE METER TESTING, SOLID STATE, HYBRIDS, AND INDUCTION METERS.
