THE MISSION OF THE DISABILITY NETWORK IS TO PROMOTE FREEDOM, CHOICE, OPPORTUNITY AND EQUALITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES THROUGH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT.

INDIVIDUAL OUTCOMES: 1) 28 PEOPLE LIVING IN NURSING FACILITIES WERE TRANSITIONED TO LIVING INDEPENDENTLY IN THE COMMUNITY 2) 127 PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES RECEIVED EMPLOYMENT TRAINING, ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES. 3) 92 YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES RECEIVED TRAINING, EDUCATION AND RESOURCES TO TRANSITION TO COLLEGE, WORK AND INDEPENDANT LIVING. 4) 23 PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES HAD HOME RAMPS INSTALLED. COMMUNITY OUTCOMES: 1) PARTNERED WITH 22 BUSINESSES TO PROVIDE DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION TRAININGS AND ACCESSIBILITY REVIEWS. 2) OVER 500 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN THE DISABILITY NETWORK'S ADA DAY, HOLIDAY AND COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS. 3) PROVIDED OVER 4,000 HOURS ADVOCACY, COLLABORATION, EDUCATION, OUTREACH AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES. ALL OF THESE PEOPLE WERE SERVED BY THE DISABILITY NETWORK; A 20 STAFF COMPANY THAT HAS A 15 TO 1 RETURN ON INVESTMENT ACCORDING TO THE MICHIGAN STATE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT.
