THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED TO CREATE, BUILD, MAINTAIN, OPERATE, PRESERVE, IMPROVE AND PROMOTE PUBLIC RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS, PUBLIC PARKS, AND PUBLIC RECREATIONAL FACILITIES, ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF FARMINGTON HILLS; AND TO RAISE FUNDS, AND RECEIVE AND MANAGE CONTRIBUTIONS, DONATIONS, GIFTS AND GRANTS TO BE USED TO ACCOMPLISH SAID PURPOSES. THE FRIENDS OF THE PARKS COLLECTED OVER $276,000 FROM GENEROUS DONORS TO SUPPORT THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION. THE FRIENDS OF THE PARKS WILL BE UTILIZING THESE FUNDS IN SUPPORT OF SEVERAL MAJOR PROJECTS IN THE COMING YEAR, INCLUDING THE NEW HAWK COMMUNITY CENTER, AND THE HERITAGE PARK BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION.
THE FRIENDS OF THE PARKS COLLECTED NEARLY $460 THOUSAND FROM GENEROUS DONORS TO SUPPORT THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION.
