THE SOCIETY PRESERVES THE HISTORY OF THE MICHIGAN COURTS AND PROMOTES THE STUDY OF THIS INFORMATION. EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS ARE PRODUCED AND AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE SOCIETY'S WEBSITE OR BY REQUEST. THE SOCIETY COMMISSIONS AND MAINTAINS THE PORTRAITS OF SUPREME COURT JUSTICES AND OTHER ARTIFACTS ON BEHALF OF THE MICHIGAN SUPREME COURT, WHICH RETAINS OWNERSHIP. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 95 PORTRAITS (91 ARE ON DISPLAY AND 4 ARE IN STORAGE AWAITING PRESENTATION). THE SOCIETY HAS 456 MEMBERS ON THE MAILING LIST AND 184 CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS FOR 2021. THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS BENEFITED BY THESE ACTIVITIES CANNOT BE ESTIMATED.
