FUNDS FOR THE SUPPORT OF MUNSON MEDICAL CENTER, A RELATED ORGANIZATION IN THE MUNSON HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. MAJOR INITIATIVES FUNDED INCLUDE THE EXPANSION OF SURGICAL SERVICES, INSTALLATION OF A STATE-OF-THE-ART IMAGING SYSTEM IN THE CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION LAB, CAPITAL SUPPORT OF THE MRI MACHINE, AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR STROKE RELATED SURGICAL SUPPLIES, PROGRAM SUPPORT AND PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT. OTHER FUNDED ITEMS INCLUDE UNMET HEALTHCARE NEEDS OF PATIENTS IN THE MUNSON SERVICE AREA, MEDICAL EQUIPMENT PURCHASES, SUPPORT FOR CHILD HEALTH AND WELLNESS, WOMEN'S CANCER FUND DISTRIBUTIONS TO PATIENTS, SUPPORT OF ONGOING CANCER RESEARCH, THERAPY SERVICES, CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION, NURSING AND STAFF TRAINING, AND SUPPORT OF OTHER HOSPITAL BASED PROGRAMS.
