THE ECUMENICAL THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY PROVIDES A MULTI-CONFESSIONAL CHRISTIAN THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION WITHIN AN URBAN CONTEXT, WHILE INITIATING INTERFAITH ENGAGEMENT. OUR APPROACH CREATES SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP THROUGH PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, CRITICAL REFLECTION AND ACADEMIC RIGOR. ETS GRADUATES ARE PREPARED TO LEAD COMMUNITIES OF FAITH WHILE SHARING GOD'S COMPASSION IN RELATIONSHIP TO CARIOUS ECUMENICAL INTERFAITH, POLITICAL, SOCIAL, ECONOMICAL AND CULTURAL CONTEXTS. THE SEMINARY CONFERS THE DOCTOR OF MINISTRY, THE MASTER OF DIVINITY, THE MASTER OF ARTS IN PASTORAL MINISTRY, THE MASTER OF ARTS, AND THE URBAN MINISTRY DIPLOMA. COURSES ARE OPEN TO CLERGY AND LAITY FOR ADULT OR CONTINUING EDUCATION. STUDENTS ARE PRIMARILY FROM SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN AND SURROUNDING AREAS. THE SEMINARY IS SUPPORTED THROUGH TUITION, FEES AND CONTRIBUTIONS.
