PUBLIC POLICY - USING A GRASS ROOTS PHILOSPHY, VOLUNTEER MEMBERS FORMULATE CURRENT AND EMERGING AGRICULTURE ISSUES INTO AREAS OF INTEREST. MEMBERSHIP, WITH A UNIFIED VOICE, PROVIDES DIRECTION TO THE STATE ORGANIZATION. THE STATE-WIDE ORGANIZATION THEN DEVELOPS A LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVEL STRATEGY.PROMOTION & EDUCATION-EDUCATION ABOUT THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY ARE OFFERED TO HUNDREDS IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH EVENTS SUCH AS 4-H CLUBS,FFA CHAPTERS,& SCHOOLS AND CIVIC GROUPS.YOUNG FARMERS-EDUCATION & LEADERSHIP SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR CURRENT LOCAL AG LEADERS WITHIN THE AGES OF 18 TO 35 & OFFERS SOCIAL EVENTS TO DEVELOP FUTURE LEADERS.
