PUBLIC POLICY - USING GRASS ROOTS PHILOSOPHY, VOLUNTEER MEMBERS FORMULATE CURRENT AND EMERGING AGRICULTURAL ISSUES INTO AREAS OF INTEREST. MEMBERSHIP WITH A UNIFIED VOICE, PROVIDES DIRECTION TO THE STATE ORGANIZATION. THE STATEWIDE ORGANIZATION THEN DEVELOPS A LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL STRATEGY.


YOUNG FARMERS - EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR CURRENT LOCAL AGRICULTURAL LEADERS WITHIN THE AGES OF 18 TO 35; AND OFFERS SOCIAL EVENTS AND ENCOURAGES INVOLVEMENT TO DEVELOP FUTURE LEADERS.


PROMOTION AND EDUCATION - EDUCATION ABOUT THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY ARE OFFERED TO HUNDREDS IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITH EVENTS SUCH AS BREAKFAST ON THE FARM AND TO 4-H CLUBS, FFA CHAPTERS, SCHOOLS AND CIVIC GROUPS.
