MIZZEN BY MOTT IS AN EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICE OFFERING FREE DIGITAL LESSON PLANS, CURRICULUM, ACTIVITIES, AND RESOURCES FOR YOUTH-SERVING PROFESSIONALS IN OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS. THE PLATFORM HELPS EDUCATORS PLAN AND DELIVER ENGAGING COURSES, LESSONS, AND ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS WITH CONTENT FROM ORGANIZATIONS, SUCH AS NASA, PBS, THE PULITZER CENTER AND JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER. MIZZEN ALSO PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES AND EXPERIENCES THAT SUPPORT AFTERSCHOOL PRACTITIONERS IN DESIGNING HIGH QUALITY AND ENGAGING PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. CURRICULUM AVAILABLE VIA THE APP WILL FEATURE STEM, CAREER EXPLORATION, HEALTH AND WELLNESS, SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING, VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS, ACADEMIC SUPPORT, LITERACY, YOUTH LEADERSHIP, AND OTHER K-12 ENRICHMENT CONTENT. THIS FOUNDATION-ADMINISTERED PROJECT (FAP) HELPED TO FURTHER THE FOUNDATION'S EFFORTS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THE STATEWIDE AFTERSCHOOL NETWORKS AND EDUCATION LEADERS IN THE AREAS OF AFTERSCHOOL POLICY, QUALITY AND STUDENT IMPACT. THROUGH THIS FAP, THE FOUNDATION COMMISSIONED A CONSULTANT TO: 1) SUPPORT THE NETWORKS TO CREATE NEW MOMENTUM AND INITIATIVES IN SUPPORT OF AFTERSCHOOL AND COMMUNITY SCHOOLS ACROSS ALL 50 STATES; 2) PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO DEVELOP STRATEGIES TO AMPLIFY AFTERSCHOOL IN WYOMING, CALIFORNIA, OREGON, TEXAS, NEW YORK, AND PENNSYLVANIA; 3) ASSIST NETWORKS TO DEVELOP NEW KEY CHAMPIONS AND CREATE PARTNERSHIPS WITH STATE EDUCATION SYSTEMS; 4) PRESENTED AT VARIOUS NATIONAL VIRTUAL CONVENINGS IN SUPPORT OF THE FOUNDATION'S PRIORITIES.

THROUGH THIS FAP, THE FOUNDATION COMMISSIONED A CONSULTANT TO: 1)PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING OF EDUCATION RECOVERY POLICY OR OTHER DEVELOPMENTS IN THE AFTERSCHOOL, COMMUNITY LEARNING, AND EXPANDED LEARNING FIELDS ; 2) DEVELOP STRATEGIES TO ADVANCE THE STATEWIDE AFTERSCHOOL NETWORKS; 3) ASSIST IN THE PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL NETWORK OF STATE AFTERSCHOOL NETWORKS' MEETING; AND 4) PARTICIPATE IN VIRTUAL MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES WITH OTHER EDUCATION STAKEHOLDERS.
