THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (ALUMNI ASSOCIATION) PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF PROFESSIONAL ALUMNI RELATIONS SERVICES, INCLUDING EVENT PLANNING; ORGANIZING AND ASSISTING ALUMNI CLUBS, CHAPTERS AND SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS; AND, CELEBRATION AND RECOGNITION OF ALUMNI ACCOMPLISHMENTS, INCLUDING AWARDS. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PROVIDES THESE SERVICES THROUGH ITS OFFICES ON THE URBANA CAMPUS AND THE ILLINI CENTER IN DOWNTOWN CHICAGO. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ALSO MANAGES THE ALICE CAMPBELL ALUMNI CENTER IN URBANA, WITH A VARIETY OF SPACES AVAILABLE FOR EVENTS. THE ALICE CAMPBELL ALUMNI CENTER IS ALSO HOME TO THE RICHMOND FAMILY WELCOME GALLERY, WHICH SERVES AS A SHOWCASE FOR THE UNIVERSITY'S RICH HISTORY, TRADITIONS, AND GLOBAL IMPACT, FEATURING INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY AND PERSONAL STORIES OF ALUMNI, FACULTY AND STUDENTS FROM THE PAST 150 YEARS.
THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PRODUCES A VARIETY OF COMMUNICATIONS ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AND ITS ALUMNI. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PRODUCES UP TO FOUR ISSUES PER YEAR OF ITS ALUMNI MAGAZINES FOR THE URBANA AND SPRINGFIELD UNIVERSITIES. THE MAGAZINES ARE MAILED TO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION LIFE MEMBERS AND SUSTAINING MEMBERS (I.E. THOSE THAT HAVE MET CONTRIBUTION CRITERIA TO THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.) THE ANNUAL MAGAZINE CIRCULATION TOTALS ARE APPROXIMATELY 49,000 FOR URBANA AND 15,000 FOR SPRINGFIELD. MONTHLY E-NEWSLETTERS ARE PROVIDED TO ALL ALUMNI THAT PROVIDE AN EMAIL ADDRESS TO THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WEBSITE RECEIVES AN ESTIMATED 12,000 UNIQUE VISITORS EACH MONTH. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ALSO SENDS TARGETED, SPECIAL TOPIC EMAILS TO ALUMNI SEGMENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IS ALSO BUILDING A DIGITAL LIBRARY OF PAST ALUMNI MAGAZINES.
THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OPERATES A WEBSITE AT WWW.UIAA.ORG, AND PROVIDES A WEB-BASED ALUMNI NETWORK AND DIRECTORY FOR OPERATION BY ALUMNI GROUPS, THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS ALUMNI NETWORK. THE DIRECTORY PROVIDES ILLINOIS ALUMNI WITH A SIMPLE WAY TO MAKE CONNECTIONS WITH FELLOW ALUMNI WORLDWIDE. THE NETWORK FACILITATES RECONNECTING WITH FRIENDS AND FORMER CLASSMATES, ASSISTS WITH SEARCHING FOR ALUMNI NEARBY, AND HELPS ALUMNI OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS EXPAND THEIR PROFESSIONAL NETWORKS. THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ALSO PROVIDES MEANINGFUL DATA ANALYSIS RELATED TO TRACKING ALUMNI DEMOGRAPHICS, EMPLOYMENT DATA, CAMPUS AFFILIATIONS, GEOGRAPHY, AND MAJORS.
