HQIC - HOSPITAL QUALITY IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTORS THE COMPASS NETWORK IS ONE OF NINE HQIC AWARDEES AND IS LED BY THE IOWA HEALTHCARE COLLABORATIVE (IHC) WITH THE COLLECTIVE PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS OF SDAHO HRET, KANSAS HEALTHCARE COLLABORATIVE, AND MISSISSIPPI HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION. THIS IS A NEW CONTRACT FOLLOWING THE PREVIOUS HIIN CONTRACT.
SD FLEX - SOUTH DAKOTA OFFICE OF RURAL HEALTH MEDICARE RURAL HOSPITAL FLEXIBILITY SDAHO HRET CONTINUES TO CONTRACT WITH THE SOUTH DAKOTA OFFICE OF RURAL HEALTH (SD ORH) TO SUPPORT PROGRAMMATIC, FINANCIAL, OPERATIONAL, AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT FOR THE SOUTH DAKOTA MEDICARE RURAL HOSPITAL FLEXIBILITY (FLEX) PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES THE MEDICARE BENEFICIARY QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (MBQIP) QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITY.
SD CARE/ASPR - SD COVID ACTIVITIES RESPONSE EFFORT/US HHS ASSISTANT SECRETARY FOR PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE PPE FUNDINGSDAHO HRET DISTRIBUTED FUNDS TO LICENSED SOUTH DAKOTA HOSPITALS TO OPERATIONALIZE THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC) COMPREHENSIVE HOSPITAL PREPAREDNESS CHECKLIST FOR COVID-19 WHICH IS CRITICAL FOR MAINTAINING HEALTHCARE SERVICES DURING A COVID-19 RESPONSE. THE FUNDS, TOTALING JUST OVER 1.8 MILLION AWARDED IN 2 DIFFERENT ROUNDS, IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED FOR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) PURCHASES. FUNDING IS AVAILABLE UNTIL APRIL OF 2025.
OTHER - COMMUNITY OPIOID ABUSE RESPONSE EFFORT (COARE), PALLIATIVE CARE ECHO, AND CIVIL MONETARY PENALTY (CMP) CONTRACT COARE - SDAHO HRET PARTNERED WITH THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA ON THE COARE INITIATIVE, WHICH IS A COMMUNITY-BASED PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM IN WHICH AN IMPROVEMENT ADVISOR SUPPORTS COMMUNITY LEADERS WITH THE IDENTIFICATION OF OPIOID PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND RECOVERY RESOURCES. SDAHO HRET WAS THE IMPROVEMENT ADVISOR FOR COARE AND FACILITATED INCREASED COLLABORATION WITHIN THE COMMUNITY BY BRINGING TOGETHER KEY STAKEHOLDERS. PALLIATIVE CARE ECHO - THIS PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ECHO MODEL OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION WHERE THERE IS A HUB OF EXPERTS THAT SUPPORT SPOKE SITES THAT NEED SUPPORT WITH THE INTEGRATION OF ADVANCE CARE PLANNING AND PALLIATIVE CARE TO THEIR PRACTICE. ECHO IS A VIDEOCONFERENCING CASE-BASED LEARNING PLATFORM THAT FEEDS A KNOWLEDGE-SHARING NETWORK. SDAHO HRET WORKS WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF NURSING ON THIS PROGRAM AS THE LIAISON BETWEEN THE SOUTH DAKOTA HOSPITALS AND PROGRAM LEADERS. CMP CONTRACT - COVID IPADS FOR NURSING HOMES - THIS CONSULTANT CONTRACT WITH THE SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WAS A PASS-THROUGH GRANT FOR USE OF FEDERAL CIVIL MONETARY PENALTY FUNDS TO DISTRIBUTE FOUR IPADS TO EACH 104 NURSING HOMES IN SOUTH DAKOTA AS A WAY TO REDUCE ISOLATION OF RESIDENTS FROM PROVIDERS, CAREGIVERS AND FAMILY DURING THE COVID-19 VISITOR RESTRICTIONS.
