IN 2020, THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED A GRASSROOTS OUTREACH PROGRAM TO PERSUADE ARIZONA'S UTILITY COMMISSION TO OPPOSE RATE HIKES FOR CONSUMERS, AND OPPOSE EFFORTS BY A LARGE UTILITY TO MODIFY THEIR ENERGY PLATFORMS WHICH WOULD BE DETRIMENTAL TO CONSUMERS AND THEIR POCKETBOOKS. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION LED A GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT TO EDUCATE A LOCAL MUNICIPALITY ABOUT THE NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES OF INCREASED PROPERTY TAX RATES AS WELL AS OPPOSITION TO CREATING A GOVERNMENT-RUN MONOPOLY FOR THE CITY'S EMERGENCY SERVICES.
