AFTER 18 YEARS IN EXISTENCE, THE ORGANIZATION FELT THAT A MORE SUBSTAINABLY MEANS OF SUPPORTING THE ORGANIZATIONS'S MISSION OF ADVANCEMENT OF OUTCOMES RESEARCH AND QUALITY ASSESSMENT/IMPROVEMENT IN CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE WAS TO GRANT THE FOUNDATION ITS ASSETS.
TRIUMPH-ANT & TRIUMPH EXPANSION STUDY: DURING 2019, PUBLISHING WAS ACTIVE FROM THE TRIUMPH-ANT (TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH INVESTIGATING UNDERLYING DISPARITIES IN ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION PATIENTS' HEALTH STATUS WITH ANEMIA/CREATININE ASSESSMENTS) STUDY AS WELL AS THE TRIUMPH EXPANSION STUDY WHICH ANALYZED REHOSPITALIZATION RECORDS FOR TRIUMPH PATIENTS. SEVERAL SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACTS AND ARTICLES WERE PUBLISHED IN 2019.
LICENSING: THE RIGHTS TO SUBLICENSE SEVERAL DISEASE-SPECIFIC HEALTH STATUS INSTRUMENTS ARE HELD BY CVO. THE SEATTLE ANGINA QUESTIONNAIRE (SAQ), THE KANSAS CITY CARDIOMYOPATHY QUESTIONNAIRE (KCCQ), AND THE PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL QUESTIONNAIRE (PAQ) ARE LICENSED TO RESEARCHERS THROUGH CVO. DURING 2019, ZERO LICENSES WERE AWARDED TO ACADEMIC AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT RESEARCHERS INTERESTED IN PATIENT CENTERED, DISEASE-SPECIFIC HEALTH STATUS FOR CARDIOVASCULAR ILLNESSES.
PREMIER: PUBLISHING FROM THE PREMIER REGISTRY (PROSPECTIVE REGISTRY EVALUATING OUTCOMES AFTER MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION: EVENTS AND RECOVERY) REMAINS A LARGE PART OF CVO'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS. THE EXTENSIVE DATABASE CONTINUES TO BE USED BY MULTIPLE INVESTIGATORS, PHYSICIANS AND NURSES ALIKE, FOR SEVERAL PUBLICATIONS THIS YEAR.
