HOOGLAND CENTER FOR THE ARTS PERFORMANCE SERIES-THE HOOGLAND CENTER FOR THE ARTS-IS A VENUE THAT PROVIDES OFFICE, PERFORMANCE, REHEARSAL AND MEETING SPACE FOR OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO RENT.THE HOOGLAND CENTER FOR THE ARTS PERFORMANCE SERIES PRESENTS 15 TO 24 PRODUCTIONS ANNUALLY. THESE PRODUCTIONS INCLUDE FULL-SCALE BROADWAY STYLE MUSICALS WITH LARGE CASTS AND OCCASIONAL PROFESSIONAL GUEST ARTISTS, CONCERTS BY LOCAL PERFORMERS, CONCERTS AND SHOWS BY PROFESSIONAL TOURING PERFORMERS, SHOWS BY NATIONALLY-KNOWN CELEBRITIES, SMALL-SCALE PLAYS, AND EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCES.
THE HOOGLAND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM-WAS FOUNDED IN 2012 WITH THE GOAL OF FILLING A NEED FOR ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. THE PROGRAM IS COMPRISED OF HOOGLAND JUNIORS, KIDS, AND TEENS WITH CLASSES EACH WEEK THAT FOCUS ON DIFFERENT SKILLS. OVER 140 YOUNG PEOPLE PARTICIPATE IN HOOGLAND JUNIORS, KIDS AND TEENS, AND AN ADDITIONAL 200 STUDENTS TAKE WEEKLY CLASSES. THE PROGRAM CURRENTLY HAS 4 SHOWS A YEAR, WITH ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
