ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR AN ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE SQUAD THAT PROVIDES SERVICES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. GRANTS ARE ISSUED PERIODICALLY (NOT EVERY YEAR)TO PURCHASE FIRE AND RESCUE EQUIPMENT AND OR PROVIDE MAINTENANCE FOR THE FIREHOUSE FOR THE BARTONVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE SQUAD, A SEPARATE ENTITY.IN 2020, THIS ORGANIZATION BOUGHT FIREFIGHTER HELMETS FOR $6400 AND ALSO PAID FOR LAWN CARE SERVICES AT THE FIREHOUSE.THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES MEALS/REFRESHMENTS FOR FIREFIGHTERS AFTER FIRES, MEETINGS AND WORK PARTIES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOLDS RETIREMENT PARTIES FOR RETIRING FIREFIGHTERS.THE VILLAGE OF BARTONVILLE HAS A POPULATION OF APPROXIMATELY 6,500 PEOPLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE SQUAD RESPONDS TO CALLS NOT ONLY WITHIN THE VILLAGE BUT ALSO TO OUTLYING AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE VILLAGE LIMITS.
