ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR AN ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE SQUAD THAT PROVIDES SERVICES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. GRANTS ARE ISSUED PERIODICALLY (NOT EVERY YEAR)TO PURCHASE FIRE AND RESCUE EQUIPMENT AND OR PROVIDE MAINTENANCE FOR THE FIREHOUSE FOR THE BARTONVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE SQUAD, A SEPARATE ENTITY.IN 2020, THIS ORGANIZATION BOUGHT FIREFIGHTER HELMETS FOR $6400.IN 2022, THIS ORGANIZATION PROVIDED A BREATHING AIR COMPRESSOR TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AT A COST OF $31,044, CONCRETE AT FIRE HOUSE FOR $713 AND ADDITIONAL ITEMS THAT TOTALED $349IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASED AN ICE MACHINE FOR THE FIREHOUSE FOR $841. IN ADDITION THE ORGANIZATION PURCHASED CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS FOR THE VILLAGE AND ALSO PAID FOR LAWNCARE FOR THE FIREHOUSE. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HOLDS RETIREMENT PARTIES FOR RETIRING FIREFIGHTERS.THE VILLAGE OF BARTONVILLE HAS A POPULATION OF APPROXIMATELY 6,500 PEOPLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND RESCUE SQUAD RESPONDS TO CALLS NOT ONLY WITHIN THE VILLAGE BUT ALSO TO OUTLYING AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE VILLAGE LIMITS.
