ENERGY PROGRAMS: LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIHEAP): DMCOC'S LIHEAP PROGRAM PROVIDES UTILITY ASSISTANCE TO HOUSEHOLDS IN NEED THROUGHOUT MACON COUNTY. WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM: DMCOC'S WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM IMPROVES HOMES TO MAKE THEM SAFER AND MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT, RESULTING IN LOWER UTILITY COSTS FOR FAMILIES.
ANNA WATERS HEAD START: DMCOC'S ANNA WATERS HEAD START PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SERVICES TO 3-5 YEAR-OLD CHILDREN, ALONG WITH CASE MANAGEMENT AND WRAP-AROUND SUPPORTS FOR THEIR FAMILIES.
COMMUNITY SERVICES: JOB TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT READINESS: DMCOC'S JOB TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT READINESS PROGRAMS PREPARE INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED OR UNDEREMPLOYED TO MOVE AHEAD IN THE WORKFORCE BY PAYING FOR TRAINING PROGRAMS AND PROVIDING SUPPORTS SUCH AS TRANSPORTATION AND UNIFORMS.
