THE LION GUARDIANS CONTRIBUTES TO WILDLIFE GUARDIANS' OBJECTIVE OF PROTECTING AFRICAN LIONS. LION GUARDIANS IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT LLC IN KENYA WORKING TO CONSERVE LIONS IN SOUTHERN KENYA AND NOTHERN TANZANIA BY RECRUITING YOUN NON-LITERATE MAASAI WARRIERS TO BECOME ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN PROTECTING LIONS RATHER THAN KILLING THEM. LIONS GUARDIANS MONITOR LION MOVEMENT, WARN FAMERS WHEN LIONS ARE IN THE AREA, RECOVER LIVESTOCK, REINFORCE PROTECTING LIVESTOCK FENCING AND INTERVENE TO STOP LION HUNTING PARTIES.
THE LION IDENTIFICATION NETWORK OF COLLABORATORS (LINC) IS AN INNOVATIVE OPEN SOURCE PLATFORM THAT ALLOWS FOR COLLABORATION IN RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION OF AFRICAN LIONS ACROSS INTERNATIONAL AND INTER-INSTITUTIONAL BOUNDARIES.
