THE HARSENS ISLAND ST. CLAIR FLATS HISTORICAL SOCIETY OPENED THEIR MUSEUM OVER THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AND WELCOMED MANY VISITORS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER. NORMAL HOURS ARE WEEKENDS MAY - SEPTEMBER, WITH SOME SPECIAL GROUPS FROM ORGANIZATIONS VISITING THE MUSEUM BY APPOINTMENT. THE MORE POPULAR EXHIBITS CONTINUE TO BE THE TASHMOO BELL ON LOAN FROM THE HENRY FORD MUSEUM, THE REPLICA 'COTTAGE' INTERIOR, THE NEW MODEL OF THE MUSEUM MADE FROM LEGOS, AND THE KIDS CORNER WHERE KIDS CAN DO A VARIETY OF CRAFTS AND ACTIVITIES. THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY CONTINUED ITS SPEAKER SERIES, HOSTING SEVERAL SPEAKERS AND AUTHORS THAT SHARED THEIR EXPERTISE ON SPECIFIC TOPICS AND GENERAL HISTORY OF THE AREA. THE MUSEUM ALSO HOSTED A FEW POPULAR ANNUAL EVENTS INCLUDING A FALL PIE SALE, AN EDMUND FITZGERALD REMEMBRANCE EVENT, AND THE CHRISTMAS COOKIE WALK.
