GENERAL EDUCATION - GENERAL EDUCATION IS THE PROGRAM OF EDUCATION THAT TYPICALLY DEVELOPING CHILDREN SHOULD RECEIVE, BASED ON STATE STANDARDS AND EVALUATED BY THE ANNUAL STATE EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS TEST. PROVIDED EDUCATION TO APPROXIMATELY 12,600 STUDENTS IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL DURING THE REPORTING PERIOD.
SPECIAL EDUCATION - SPECIAL EDUCATION IS THE PROGRAM OF EDUCATION THAT A SUBSET GROUP OF CHILDREN SHOULD RECEIVE TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SERVICES, SUPPORT, PROGRAMS, SPECIALIZED PLACEMENTS OR ENVIRONMENTS TO ENSURE THAT ALL STUDENTS' EDUCATIONAL NEEDS ARE PROVIDED FOR.
