ANGOLAN PROGRAMS - EVERY CHILD HAS THE RIGHT TO EDUCATION. RISE BUILDS PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN RURAL ANGOLA TO EDUCATE CHILDREN, EMPOWER COMMUNITIES, AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE REBUILDING OF THE COUNTRY. RISE TARGETS VULNERABLE AND MARGINALIZED CHILDREN, WHO WOULD NOT OTHERWISE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO SCHOOL. SINCE 2003, RISE HAS BUILT 196 SCHOOLS, GIVING OVER 142,000 CHILDREN ACCESS TO EDUCATION EACH YEAR. RISE GRANTS FUNDS TO RISE ANGOLA FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SCHOOLS, PROJECT OVERSIGHT, AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROGRAM. RISE DELEGATES DECISION-MAKING AND AUTHORITY TO ITS TEAM IN ANGOLA. IN ADHERENCE WITH OUR STANDARDS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY, DOCUMENTATION OF EXPENDITURES IS TRACKED AND PROVIDED MONTHLY FOR REVIEW. JOBS ARE PROVIDED FOR RISE ANGOLA LEADERSHIP, BUILDING TEAMS, PRINCIPALS AND TEACHERS, WHICH ADDITIONALLY CREATE STIMULUS TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY. IN 2023, RISE CELEBRATED 20 YEARS OF BUILDING SCHOOLS. RISE CONTINUED TO DEVELOP STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS WITH BP ANGOLA (NOW AZULE ENERGY), EXXONMOBIL, LOCAL ADMINISTRATIONS, THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, GOVERNORS, THE WORLD BANK, AND ROTARY. SCHOOLS AT MACALA AND LALULA WERE COMPLETED, DEDICATED, AND HANDED OVER TO THE LOCAL ADMINISTRATION, MED, AND COMMUNITY.
