DURING THE 2021-22 SEASON, THE ELGIN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PERFORMED 12 REPEATED FEATURE PERFORMANCES COMPRISED OF 30+ PROGRAMS OF CLASSICS, POPS AND HOLIDAY MUSIC WITH A TOTAL ATTENDANCE OF ROUGHLY 10,000 PATRONS. EIGHT EDUCATIONAL CONCERTS WERE PRESENTED FOR YOUTH AND SCHOOL CLASSES ON WEEKDAY MORNINGS, ATTENDED BY PUBLIC SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE REGION. THE ORCHESTRA CONTINUED TO PARTNER WITH LOCAL RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES, ADVOCATE SHERMAN HOSPITAL AND FOOD FOR GREATER ELGIN, AND PRESENTED NEW PROGRAMS IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS, HOSPICES, SENIOR CENTERS, PUBLIC FESTIVALS AND PLACES OF WORSHIP, FREE GIFTS TO A WIDE VARIETY OF AUDIENCES AS PART OF OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAMS.
