PARENT ENGAGEMENT INSTITUTE (PEI): IS COLLABORATION BETWEEN LSNA AND SOUTHWEST ORGANIZING PROJECT (SWOP), WHICH PROVIDES PROGRAMMATIC TRAINING, MENTORING, AND BEST PRACTICES TO PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING THEIR OWN PARENT MENTOR PROGRAMS LOCALLY, NATIONALLY, AND INTERNATIONALLY.
EDUCATION PROGRAM - INCLUDES PARENT MENTORS WHO WORK DAILY IN SCHOOL CLASSROOMS SUPPORTING TEACHERS AND RECEIVING LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FROM LSNA; MORE INTENSIVELY TRAINED PARENT TUTORS REACH THE STUDENTS MOST AT-RISK FOR ACADEMIC FAILURE; PARENTS ENROLLED IN A UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP (GROW YOUR OWN TEACHERS) STUDYING TO BE BILINGUAL TEACHERS; CURRICULUM PARTNERSHIPS WITH HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS; AND INTERNSHIPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL LEADERS.
