LOW INCOME HOUSEHOLD ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMIN 2023, 7668 HOUSEHOLDS TOTALING 16340 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH THEIR GAS AND ELECTRIC UTILITY BILLS TO ASSISTANCE WITH THE INCREASED COST OF HEATING THEIR HOMES DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. 16 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE TO REPAIR AND/OR REPLACE THEIR FURNACE TO SECURE HEAT IN THEIR HOME.


COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANTIN 2023 THE PROGRAM PROVIDED SERVICES TO ASSIST LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH THEIR BASIC NEEDS. SERVICES PROVIDED IN 2023 WERE AS FOLLOWS. 200 SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN RECEIVED SUPPLIES NEEDED TO BEGIN THE SCHOOL YEAR, 122 HOUSEHOLDS/INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH RENT TO OBTAIN OR MAINTAIN HOUSING, 32 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH TEMPORARY SHELTER TO AVOID HOMELESSNESS, 8296 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED FOOD ASSISTANCE AND 300 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED A HOLIDAY MEAL BASKET.
