TO PROVIDE AN INSTITUTION WHICH WILL DIRECT AND MANAGE THE PROCESS WHEREBY RESEARCH IS INITIATED, PRIORITIZED, APPROVED, CONDUCTED AND CARRIED ON, RESULTS DISSEMINATED, AND FUNDED ON ANY ISSUES RELATING TO THE RENDERING INDUSTRY, AND TO COOPERATE, WHERE APPROPRIATE, WITH ANY OTHER INSTITUTIONS WITH SIMILAR GOALS.

THE FOUNDATION HAS EXPANDED THE UTILIZATION OF ANIMAL BY-PRODUCTS BY PROVIDING MONEY IN THE FORM OF GRANTS FOR STUDIES CONDUCTED AT UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS AND BY DISTRIBUTION OF THE RESULTS OF THOSE STUDIES. THE FOUNDATION HAS COMPLETED MORE THAN 650 RESEARCH PROJECTS. THE FOUNDATION'S RESEARCH HAS DOCUMENTED THE CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT IN THE RENDERING INDUSTRY'S PRODUCTS AS MEASURED BY BIO-AVAILABILITY, BIOSECURITY AND CONSISTENCY. THE FOUNDATION FUNDED NINE RESEARCH PROJECTS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION HAS CONTINUED TO FUND THE ANIMAL CO-PRODUCTS RESEARCH AND EDUCATION CENTER AT CLEMSON UNIVERSITY WHICH HELPS THE FOUNDATION CARRY OUT ITS MISSION.
