WORKING FOR PERSPECTIVE HOME BUYERS AND SELLERS AND PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS ACROSS AMERICA, THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS PROVIDES A FACILITY FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, RESEARCH AND EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AMONG ITS MEMBERS AND TO THE PUBLIC AND GOVERNMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRESERVING THE FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM AND THE RIGHT TO OWN REAL PROPERTY.
NAR PROMOTES HIGH STANDARDS OF CONDUCT IN THE TRANSACTION OF REAL ESTATE BUSINESS AND HELPS TO ENSURE THAT THE PUBLIC RECOGNIZES THAT REALTORS ADHERE TO A STRICT CODE OF ETHICS. NAR'S CONSUMER ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN DELIVERS POWERFUL MESSAGES TO NATIONAL AUDIENCES THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE MEDIA PROMOTIONS ENDORSING THE BENEFITS OF USING A REALTOR AND COUNTERING NEGATIVE HOUSING MARKET MESSAGES. NAR PROVIDES A BROAD-BASED PERSPECTIVE ON THE VALUE OF REAL PROPERTY OWNERSHIP AND THE IMPACT ON FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES AND SOCIETY.
