A KEY FOCUS FOR THE ORGANIZATION IN 2022 WAS THE SHELBY COUNTY BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION WHICH INCLUDED A PODCAST SERIES RECORDED IN THE FOCAL EXHIBIT AT THE GROVER CENTER WITH INTERVIEWS OF VARIOUS COMMUNITY MEMBERS, NUMEROUS COMMUNITY EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY FEATURING PARTNERSHIPS WITH SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS, AND A GALA WHICH FEATURED A LIVE AUCTION OF THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK CREATED BY LOCAL ARTISTS FROM OUR CHILDRENS BOOK, SHELBY COUNTY A TO Z. ADDITIONALLY, A REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT THAT REPURPOSED AND UPDATED OUR LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES AND CREATED A NEW STORAGE ROOM WAS COMPLETED. LASTLY, A NEW STANDOUT EXHIBIT, BUILDING SHELBY COUNTY, THAT PROVIDES MULTIPLE POINTS OF EDUCATIONAL ACCESS WAS LAUNCHED.
