TO GIVE RECOGNITION BY OTHER APPROPRIATE MEANS CONSISTENT WITH THE PURPOSE OF THIS CORPORATION TO HEROIC ACTS ON THE PART OF THE INDIANAPOLIS SAFETY FORCE MEMBERS OR OTHER WISE PROVIDE FOR THE RELIEF OF THE DISTRESS OF THEIR FAMILIES, IN RECOGNITION OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE INDIANAPOLIS SAFETY FORCE AND IN ENCOURAGING THE MAINTENANCE OF HIGH STANDARDS FOR THEIR PERFORMANCE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC. A RECOGNITION BANQUET IS HELD EACH YEAR TO HONOR THE INDIANAPOLIS POLICE & FIREMEN & MARION COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT.


TO GIVE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT BY WHICH INDIANAPOLIS SAFETY FORCE MEMBERS ARE EMPLOYED AND TO SUCH MEMBERS BY FINANCIAL AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO ENHANCE THEIR ABILITY TO PROVIDE PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE HIGHEST CALIBER AND TO ENHANCE THE MORALE AND THE EDUCATION AND GENERAL WELFARE OF SUCH MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.


TO MAKE DISTRIBUTION TO INSTITUTIONS, TRUSTS, FUNDS, FOUNDATIONS AND CORPORATION ENGAGED IN CHARITABLE AND/ OR EDUCATIONAL PURSUITS FOR ONE OR MORE OF THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED IN SUB-PARAGRAPHS 2.02(B), 2.02(C) AND 2.02(D).
