IN FY21-FY22, DHTIS HEALTH CAREER PATHWAYS INITIATIVE CONTINUED SERVING INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABILITIES (IDD) BY TRAINING A BILINGUAL AND CULTURALLY COMPETENT WORKFORCE TO ENTER THE RESPITE CARE AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING COHORTS. WE EXPANDED INTO SAN FRANCISCO AND CONTRA COSTA COUNTIES AND TRAINED 47 PARTICIPANTS IN A RESPITE CARE TRAINING COHORT THAT DIRECTLY SERVES THE IDD POPULATION. WE REACHED MORE THAN 200 ASIAN-LANGUAGE-SPEAKING INDIVIDUALS TO LEARN ABOUT IDD SERVICES AND ASSISTED THIS UNDERSERVED DISPARITY GROUP. WE GRADUATED 6 STUDENTS FROM HEALTH NAVIGATOR, A 15-MONTH COHORT PROGRAM, AND CONTINUE PROVIDING FREE TRAINING COHORTS INTO ALLIED HEALTHCARE CAREERS INCLUDING COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WORKER COHORTS.
