CIDE IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT TO THE CENTRAL INDIANA COMMUNITY CIDE WILL PRESENT DANCE PERFORMANCES AND PROVIDE A VEHICLE FOR CHILDREN TO BE TRAINED IN DANCE PRINCIPLES AND GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM

Part 3 - Line 4a

PRE-PROFESSIONAL DANCE COMPANY PERFORMANCES OF THE NUTCRACKER AND A STORY BOOK BALLET. THE PRODUCTION OF THESE FULL LENGTH BALLETS INCLUDED PROFESSIONAL DANCERS IN KEY ROLES, AND PROFESSIONAL STAGING AND LIGHTING. OVER 120 DANCERS PARTICIPATED IN THESE 2 BALLETS. THE 2020 NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCE WAS SUSPENDED AFTER ONE PERFORMANCE DUE TO COVID LOCKDOWN.


SUMMER INTENSIVE - A BALLET FOCUSED 2 WEEK INTENSIVE STUDY PROGRAM FOR BOTH MEMBERS OF THE COMPANY AND OTHER DANCERS IN THE COMMUNITY. TEACHERS HIRED TO INSTRUCT THE STUDENTS WERE BROUGHT IN FROM OTHER AREAS OF THE US. THIS IS HELD IN JUNE OF EACH YEAR. IN JUNE 2020, THE INTENSIVE WAS POSTPONED UNTIL JULY, 2020 DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS. IT WAS HELD AS SCHEDULED IN JUNE 2021. THERE WERE 2 SUMMER INTENSIVES WITHIN THIS FISCAL YEAR.


DANCE COMPANY - PROMOTE DANCE AND THE ARTS THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN DANCE PERFORMANCES, REHEARSALS, FESTIVALS, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH.
