SUITS FOR SUCCESS PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES A WOMAN WITH A COMPLETE SUIT ENSEMBLE INCLUDING ACCESSORIES SUCH AS SHOES, SCARVES, JEWELRY, OR OTHER INTERVIEW-APPROPRIATE ITEMS FOR HER INTERVIEW. EACH CLIENT WORKS ONE-ON-ONE WITH A HIGHLY-TRAINED VOLUNTEER PERSONAL SHOPPER, WHO HELPS HER SELECT PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE AND ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT AS THE WOMAN PREPARES FOR HER UPCOMING INTERVIEWS. AFTER A CLIENT FINDS WORK, SHE CAN RETURN TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS FOR HER EMPLOYMENT SUITING, DURING WHICH TIME WE PROVIDE HER WITH ADDITIONAL APPAREL SUITABLE FOR THE POSITION SHE HAS ACCEPTED. CLIENTS ARE REFERRED TO DRSI BY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES WHO HAVE ASSITED THEM IN BECOMING JOB-READY. PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S GROUP - PWG PROMOTES EMPLOYMENT RETENTION AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT BY PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN A SAFE, SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT. MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP, WHO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY RETAINED EMPLOYMENT WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE SUITS FOR SUCCESS PROGRAM, ATTEND MONTHLY MEETINGS FOR ONE FULL YEAR, AFTER WHICH THEY GRADUATE IN TO A LIFE-LONG MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM. EACH REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING CONSISTS OF TWO KEY ELEMENTS: AN EXPERT SPEAKER LEADING A DISCUSSION AND A NETWORKING PERIOD. MONTHLY MEETINGS COVER A VARIETY OF SUBJECTS AND ACTIVITIES THAT PROMOTE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. TOPICS INCLUDE COMMUNICATION SKILLS, THE "UNWRITTEN RULES" OF THE WORKPLACE, CHILDCARE ISSUES, FINANCIAL PLANNING, STRESS MANAGEMENT AND JUGGLING RESPONSIBILITIES, AMONG OTHERS.
