THE WONDERLAB MUSEUM OF SCIENCE, HEALTH AND TECHNOLOGY IS A PREMIER CENTER FOR INFORMAL SCIENCE EDUCATION AND DISCOVERY. WONDERLAB PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN, TO EXPERIENCE THE WONDER AND EXCITEMENT OF SCIENCE THROUGH HANDS-ON EXHIBITS AND PROGRAMS THAT STIMULATE CURIOSITY, ENCOURAGE EXPLORATION, FOSTER LIFELONG LEARNING AND EXPLORE CONNECTIONS TO THE ARTS AND EVERYDAY LIFE.

THE WONDERLAB MUSEUM PROVIDES INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS, ACTIVITIES AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH. PRIOR TO THE START OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN MARCH 2020, WONDERLAB SERVED OVER 85,000 VISITORS AT ITS MUSEUM IN DOWNTOWN BLOOMINGTON AND AT OFF-SITE LOCATIONS. IN 2022, WONDERLAB RETURNED TO A FULL PRE-PANDEMIC SCHEDULE OF OPERATIONS IN AUGUST 2022. DURING THE 2021-2022 FY, WONDERLAB SERVED 38,986 VISITORS (CHILDREN, ADULTS, INFANTS) AT THE MUSEUM. IN-PERSON OUTREACH PROGRAMS REACHED AN ADDITIONAL 3,599 CHILDREN AND ADULTS AT OFF-SITE LOCATIONS. VIRTUAL PROGRAMS REACHED AN ADDITIONAL 1,116 FAMILIES. DURING FY 2021-2022, OVERALL MUSEUM ATTENDANCE WENT FROM 31% TO 55% OF ATTENDANCE IN 2019. DURING SUMMER 2022, WONDERLAB PROVIDED 409 WEEK-LONG SUMMER CAMP SESSIONS FOR 259 INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN.
