THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SPECIALLY-TRAINED VOLUNTEERS, WHO ARE APPOINTED BY THE COURTS TO REPRESENT THE BEST INTEREST OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN IN COURT PROCEEDINGS. THE COURTS MAY ALSO APPOINT SPECIAL ADVOCATES TO REPRESENT CHILDREN INVOLVED IN CUSTODY/GUARDIAN-SHIP/PATERNITY CASES OR IN STATUS OFFENSE/DELINQUENCY CASES. THE ORGANIZATION RECRUITS, SCREENS, TRAINS, AND SUPERVISES THE VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDE THESE ADVOCACY SERVICES TO BARTHOLOMEW, DECATUR, AND JENNINGS COUNTIES.
