AT BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY WE HAVE A BOLD VISION: THAT SUCCESS IS WITHIN REACH OF EVERY CHILD. WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY GIRL AND BOY DESERVES A SAFE PLACE TO LEARN AND GROW; LIFE-ENHANCING PROGRAMS, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES, AND HOPE AND OPPORTUNITY FOR THE FUTURE.

OUR CORE PURPOSE IS TO SERVE AS MANY KIDS AS EFFECTIVELY AS POSSIBLE THROUGH IMPACTFUL PROGRAMS AND SUPPORTIVE RELATIONSHIPS. IN 2021, WE SERVED 2,098 KIDS THROUGH OUR BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL, ELEARNING, AND SUMMER PROGRAMS. IN THE PAST YEAR WE HAVE DOUBLED THE NUMBER OF CLUB SITES ACROSS THE COUNTY, FROM 11 TO 21 LOCATIONS, INCLUDING EXPANSION INTO MIDDLE SCHOOLS AND RURAL COMMUNITIES, AND NOW HAVE A WORKFORCE OF APPROXIMATELY 172 STAFF. WE ARE STRATEGICALLY LOCATED IN AREAS WHERE THERE IS A LACK OF AFTER SCHOOL PROVIDERS AND WHERE WE CAN HAVE THE MOST IMPACT. STRIVE, OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM DEVELOPED TO SUPPORT ACADEMIC RECOVERY AND COMBAT LEARNING LOSS FROM THE PANDEMIC, IS FACILITATED ACROSS ALL SITES, WITH KEY FOCUS ON LITERACY, MATH FLUENCY, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING, AND COLLEGE AND WORKFORCE READINESS.
