GIRLS INC.--RECREATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS PROVIDED SERVICE TO 3,408 INDIVIDUALPROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN 2023 THROUGH OUR IN-CENTER, SCHOOL-BASED, SUMMER CAMP ANDGYMNASTICS PROGRAMS. OUR PROGRAMS WERE DELIVERED AT 27 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS (2 CENTERSAND 25 SCHOOLS) ACROSS FOUR COUNTIES--SHELBY, DECATUR, RUSH AND MONROE. GIRLS INC.INSPIRES ALL GIRLS TO BE STRONG, SMART, AND BOLD THROUGH DIRECT SERVICE AND ADVOCACY.OUR COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO WHOLE GIRL DEVELOPMENT EQUIPS GIRLS TO NAVIGATEGENDER, ECONOMIC, AND SOCIAL BARRIERS AND GROW UP HEALTHY, EDUCATED, AND INDEPENDENT.THESE POSITIVE OUTCOMES ARE ACHIEVED THROUGH 3 CORE ELEMENTS: PEOPLE-TRAINED STAFF ANDVOLUNTEERS WHO BUILD LASTING, MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS; ENVIRONMENT-GIRLS-ONLY,PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY SAFE,WHERE THERE IS A SISTERHOOD OF SUPPORT,HIGHEXPECTATIONS, AND MUTUAL RESPECT;AND PROGRAMMING RESEARCH BASED,HANDS-ON ANDMINDS-ON, AGE-APPROPRIATE, MEETING THE NEEDS OF TODAYS GIRLS.
