THE FOUNDATION RECEIVES CONTRIBUTIONS THAT ARE DESIGNATED BY ITS CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL DONORS FOR USE ON SPECIFIC PROJECTS AND EDUCATION RELATED INITIATIVES. SUCH FUNDS ARE UTILIZED FOR EFFORTS SUCH AS UPGRADES TO OREGON CITY SCHOOL'S GYMNASIUM AND ITS STADIUM PRESS BOX FOR CLAY HIGH SCHOOL'S OPERATION GRADUATION EFFORT FOR OREGON CITY SCHOOL'S KELLER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND FOR USE IN OREGON CITY PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOLS.
THE ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN RECEIVES INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE CONTRIBUTIONS EACH YEAR THAT ENABLE IT TO FUND ONGOING OPERATIONS IN AREAS OF ACADEMICS, ART AND ATHLETICS. DURING THE PAST YEAR THESE RESOURCES WERE USED TO ASSIST IN ENABLING THE OREGON SCHOOL SYSTEM TO MEET AND TO IMPROVE ITS EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS.
ART IN ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS SERVE TO MAKEUP FOR THE LOSS OF STATE FUNDING IN AREAS SUCH AS MUSIC, ART, LIBRARY SUPPORT AND ATHLETICS. FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE FOR CLASSES AT ALL OF THE OREGON SCHOOL DISTRICT'S ELEMENTARY LEVELS HAVE BEEN UTLILIZED TO ESTABLISH AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS IN THESE HIGHLY VALUED AREAS. IN ADDITION TO DESIGNATED GIFTS FROM DONORS, THE ARTS IN ELEMENTARY PROGRAM IS SUPPORTED BY FUND RAISING EFFORTS ENGAGED IN BY THE OREGON SCHOOLS FOUNDATION EACH YEAR.
