THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE ASSOCIATION IS THE DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF FRANCHISEE ASSOCIATIONS AS TRADEMARK CHAPTERS OF THE AAFD. THE AAFD HAS APPROXIMATELY 30 MANAGED OR AFFILIATED CHAPTERS. THE CHAPTERS ARE NOT LOCAL, BUT EACH SUPPORTS A SPECIFIC FRANCHISE BRAND OR SYSTEM. WE PROMOTE COMMUNICATION, MEETINGS AND ISSUE DRIVEN ACTIVITIES.
THE AAFD HAS DEVELOPED A BODY OF COLLECTIVELY NEGOTIATED FAIR FRANCHISING STANDARDS THAT ARE PROMOTED TO THE FRANCHISING COMMUNITY AND TO PROSPECTIVE FRANCHISE OWNERS.
