THE ORGANIZATION HAS ONLY ONE PROGRAM - COLLECTING DONATIONS OF USED FURNITURE AND REDISTRIBUTING IT TO FAMILIES IN NEED IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK. IN FY2022, WE FURNISHED 367 HOUSEHOLDS.IN APRIL 2022, WE CELEBRATED OUR 15TH YEAR OF FURNISHING FAMILIES IN NEED WITH AN EVENT AT THE WAREHOUSE ATTENDED BY STATE AND LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS, EDS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF OUR 35+ MEMBER AGENCIES AND MAJOR SUPPORTERS. WE ALSO HELD A SUCCESSFUL FURNITURE DRIVE IN A NEW AREA OF THE COUNTY, INCREASING OUR VISIBILITY. WE RECEIVED SEVERAL SIGNIFICANT FURNITURE DONATIONS, INCLUDING 50+ QUEEN/FULL MATTRESS SETS FROM A LOCAL HOTEL THAT WAS CLOSING DOWN, AND TABLES AND CHAIRS FROM A LOCAL COUNTRY CLUB.WE CONTINUED TO ATTRACT NEW VOLUNTEERS, NEW MEMBER AGENCIES AND NEW FINANCIAL SUPPORTERS, AND CONTINUED TO FURNISH FAMILIES WITH REMOTE APPOINTMENTS WAITING FOR COVID CONCERNS TO ABATE.
