CAMP BLESSING PROVIDES A SUMMER CAMP FOR THOSE WITH VARIOUS DISABILITIES. THE ONE-WEEK CAMP INCLUDES MEALS, CLINICS, WALL CLIMBING, SWIMMING, ARTS & CRAFTS, MUSIC, PONY RIDES, AND FISHING. EACH CAMPER HAS THEIR OWN PERSONAL COUSELOR.

CAMP BLESSING TEXAS WELCOMES PERSONS 7 YEARS OLD AND OLDER WITH A PRIMARY DIAGNOSIS OF A PHYSICAL OR INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY. IN 2019, WE HAD 785 CAMPERS. DUE TO COVID-19, WE DID NOT HOLD ON-SITE CAMP OPERATIONS IN THE SUMMER OF 2020 BUT WE WERE ABLE TO SERVE OVER 800 FAMILIES VIA AN ONLINE VIRTUAL CAMP EXPERIENCE. THE CAMP RELIES ON THE SERVICES OF VOLUNTEERS TO STAFF THE CAMPS. THE WEEKLY CAMPS REQUIRE A MINIMUM RATIO OF 1 AND HALF VOLUNTEERS FOR EACH CAMPER. EACH 6 DAYS CAMP OFFERS, WALL CLIMBING, SWIMMING, ARTS AND CRAFTS, MUSIC, HORSE RIDES, AND FISHING. EACH CAMPER HAS THEIR OWN PERSONAL COUSELOR. CAMP BLESSING TEXAS ALSO INVITES ALL SIBLINGS, AGES 7-13, OF OUR CAMPERS TO BE A CAMPER THEMSELVES. ORDER SIBLINS(AGE 14+) HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER AT CAMP.
