OUR MISSION IS TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE NATURAL LANDSCAPES, WILDLIFE HABITAT AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF ANZA-BORREGO DESERT STATE PARK FOR THE BENEFIT AND ENJOYMENT OF PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.

INTERPRETIVE SALES THE ANZA-BORREGO FOUNDATION, AS AN OFFICIAL COOPERATING ASSOCIATION OF CALIFORNIA STATE PARKS, ASSISTS THE PARK WITH INTERPRETIVE SALES AT ANZA-BORREGO DESERT STATE PARK VISITOR CENTER, THE STATE PARK STORE, AND OTHER REMOTE LOCATIONS SUCH AS TRAILHEADS.


EDUCATION PROGRAMS THROUGH EDUCATION, INTERPRETATION AND RESEARCH OF THE NATURAL, HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES OF THE REGION, ABF IS WORKING TO INSPIRE PEOPLE OF ALL AGES TO LEARN ABOUT AND CONSERVE THIS UNIQUE BUT FRAGILE ENVIRONMENT. ABFS OUTREACH EFFORTS INTRODUCED 551 INDIVIDUALS, 25 OF THOSE WERE STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED CAMP BORREGO. ALL ADULT PROGRAMMING WAS OFFERED VIRTUALLY.


LAND CONSERVATION ABF WORKS TO ACQUIRE INHOLDINGS PRIVATELY OWNED PARCELS WITHIN ANZA-BORREGO DESERT STATE PARK AND PARCELS ADJACENT TO THE PARK. ABF HAS ACQUIRED OVER 65,000 ACRES ACQUIRED SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1967. DURING THE YEAR, ABF SAVED A TOTAL OF 800 ACRES.
