SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ARE FOCUSED ON A PLACE BASED EDUCATION MODEL PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH SERVICE, EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING, AND AN INTEGRATED CURRICULUM. IN ACCORDANCE WITH RSA 189:1 AND RSA 189:24, HEARTWOOD PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL WILL HAVE AT A MINIMUM A 945 HOUR SCHOOL YEAR FOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SIXTH GRADE AND A 990 HOUR SCHOOL YEAR FOR GRADES SEVEN AND EIGHT.
