COLORADO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY PROVIDES AN INNOVATIVE CHRIST-CENTERED EDUCATION THAT PRIORITIZES ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS AND INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE WHOLE CHILD. IN RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENTS, WE WILL BUILD HEALTHY FOUNDATIONS THAT RESULT IN RESILIENT STUDENTS. THE ULTIMATE OUTCOME AT COLORADO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY IS THAT STUDENTS WOULD COME TO KNOW JESUS DURING THEIR ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. WE BELIEVE THAT A LIVING KNOWLEDGE OF GOD'S NATURE CREATES A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING AND LOVE FOR ONESELF AND OTHERS. WE WANT STUDENTS TO TRULY KNOW THE VOICE OF GOD. ALIGNING WITH THE MISSION AND VISION OF FOCUSING ON THE WHOLE CHILD DELIVERS A DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE ENVIRONMENT. THIS PROVIDES BEGINNING FOUNDATIONS OF LITERACY AND MATH FUNDAMENTALS, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH, SELF-DISCIPLINE, PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENTAL GROWTH, AND INTENTIONALITY WITH EVERY INTERACTION. THE CORE OF ALL THESE FOUNDATIONS AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES IS TAUGHT THROUGH THE LENS THAT OUR CREATOR SEES EACH CHILD AS HIS MASTERPIECE. EVERY CHILD IS EVALUATED UPON ENTERING THE PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM TO DEVELOP SCHOOL-YEAR GROWTH GOALS IN PERSONAL, ACADEMIC AND SPIRITUAL AREAS, AND STUDENTS ARE EVALUATED BY TEACHERS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS, ON EVALUATING STUDENT GROWTH MID-YEAR AND END-OF-YEAR IN THESE RESPECTIVE AREAS.KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 8TH GRADE - WE OFFER KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 8TH GRADE CORE PROGRAM AND TRADITIONAL SCHEDULE THAT INCLUDES A FOCUS ON THE CORE SUBJECTS (MATH, READING, COMPREHENSION AND BIBLE), CO-CURRICULARS (SPANISH, CIVICS, SCIENCE, WELLNESS/FITNESS, MUSIC, ART), AND CHAPEL. DIMENSIONS IS A SINGAPORE MATH PROGRAM THAT GETS STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND MATH CONCEPTS BY TRAINING THEM TO THINK AND UNDERSTAND MATH CONCEPTS AND NOT JUST MEMORIZE MATH FACTS. THEY INTRODUCE EACH NEW BUILDING BLOCK THROUGH A THREE-STEP SCAFFOLD. LITERACY ESSENTIALS IS A READING PROGRAM THAT TEACHES THE CODE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. LEARNING A LANGUAGE BY VIEWING IT AS A PUZZLE TO BE SOLVED AND DECIPHERED, LAYS THE MENTAL TRACKS FOR CRITICAL THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING NEEDED IN SCHOOL AND IN LIFE. ALL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE THIS PROGRAM, BUT THE PACE WILL VARY BASED ON GRADE. STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE OVERARCHING STORY OF GOD AND THE WORLD. IT IS IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW THE TRUE STORY THAT WE HAVE BEEN BORN INTO BECAUSE WE ARE TEMPTED TO LIVE A DIFFERENT STORY IN OUR SOCIETY. THIS STORY IS FOUNDATIONAL TO THE REST OF THE CURRICULUM AT COLORADO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY. SCIENCE AT CCA WILL ACTIVELY PRIORITIZE THE SCIENTIFIC PROCESSES THROUGH INVESTIGATION AND LABS. STUDENTS WILL LEARN BASIC SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES/CONCEPTS PLUS THE MENTAL THINKING THAT EXERCISES CAUSE/EFFECT REASONING THAT TAKES ONE FROM EVIDENCE TO VALID CONCLUSIONS. ALL SCIENCE WILL BE TAUGHT THROUGH A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW, WHICH SEES SCIENCE AS A CELEBRATION OF GOD'S BRILLIANCE AND HANDIWORK.WE BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE IDEAS TO REALIZE AND SOLUTIONS TO IMPLEMENT THAT CAN BRING A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE TO OUR BROKEN WORLD. STUDENTS LEARN THAT THEIR IDEAS AND ACTIONS CAN HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THOSE AROUND THEM.
