PROVIDE FREE APPAREL AND EQUIPMENT TO DISABLED VETERAN HOCKEY PLAYERS TO INCLUDE ON AND OFF-ICE ITEMS SUCH AS HOCKEY JERSEYS, HOCKEY SOCKS, WOOL HATS, SWEATSHIRTS, JACKETS, PROTECTIVE PADDING, HOCKEY HELMETS, ETC.
PROVIDE FREE ICE TIME TO SEVEN TEAMS OF DISABLED VETERAN HOCKEY PLAYERS AT AREA RINKS 1-2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR PRACTICES, SCRIMMAGES, NONCHECKING GAMES FOR DISABLED VETERANS. IN ADDITION TO ICE TIME, THIS INCLUDES LEAGUE ENTRY FEES, REFEREE EXPENSES, USA HOCKEY REGISTRATIONS FOR PLAYERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD IT, HOCKEY SCHOOL FOR VETERANS NEW TO THE GAME OF HOCKEY, AND EMAIL FOR PLAYERS TO COMMUNICATE THE SCHEDULES.
PROVIDE FREE TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES AND TRAVEL COSTS TO AND FROM DISABLED HOCKEY TOURNAMENTS FOR DISABLED VETERANS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF VETERAN DISABILITIES, TO RECRUIT OTHER DISABLED VETERANS TO EXPAND THE PROGRAM WITHIN AND OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA. THIS ALSO INCLUDES ASSISTANCE TO TEAM MEMBER VETERANS IN NEED. EXPENDITURES IN THIS CATEGORY DECREASED GREATLY IN 2020 DUE TO COVID TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS.
