TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE OF ALL ASPECTS OF POULTRY SCIENCE AND THE POULTRY INDUSTRY, DISSEMINATE KNOWLEDGE PERTAINING TO ALL BRANCHES OF THE POULTRY INDUSTRY AND FACILITATE THE EXCHANGE OF SUCH KNOWLEDGE AMONG PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD HAVING AN INTEREST IN THE INDUSTRY, ENCOURAGE THE PROMOTION OF WORLD POULTRY CONGRESSES AND REGIONAL POULTRY CONFERENCES, CO-OPERATE WITH OTHER INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN ACHIEVING THESE AIMS.

THIS IS AN INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY THAT DISSEMINATES INFORMATION ON POULTRY SCIENCE. FOR MANY YEARS,THE ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN WORKING WITH MEMBERS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. THE ORGANIZATION PUBLISHES A HIGHLY REGARDED JOURNAL. IT IS PUBLISHED FOUR TIMES PER YEAR. BOTH THE BOARD AND THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEET ANNUALLY. THE 2024 BOARD MEETING WAS HELD IN VALENCIA, SPAIN AND THE 2025 BOARD MEETING WILL BE IN THE NETHERLANDS. WORLD CONGRESSES ARE HELD EVERY FOUR YEARS, WITH THE NEXT CONGRESS SCHEDULED FOR JULY 2025 IN TORONTO, CANADA.
