TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE OF ALL ASPECTS OF POULTRY SCIENCE AND THE POULTRY INDUSTRY, DISSEMINATE KNOWLEDGE PERTAINING TO ALL BRANCHES OF THE POULTRY INDUSTRY AND FACILITATE THE EXCHANGE OF SUCH KNOWLEDGE AMONG PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD HAVING AN INTEREST IN THE INDUSTRY, ENCOURAGE THE PROMOTION OF WORLD POULTRY CONGRESSES AND REGIONAL POULTRY CONFERENCES, CO-OPERATE WITH OTHER INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN ACHIEVING THESE AIMS.

THIS ORGANIZATION IS AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION THAT DISSEMINATES INFORMATION OF THE POULTRY INDUSTRY THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. THE ORGANIZATION HAS STARTED WORKING WITH DEVELOPING COUNTRIES IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. THE ORGANIZATION PROMOTES THE ADVANCEMENT OF KNOWLEDGE OF ALL ASPECTS OF POULTRY SCIENCE AND THE POULTRY INDUSTRY. THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS ANNUALLY. THE 2020 AND 2021 MEETING WERE CONDUCTED ONLINE VIA ZOOM DUE TO THE WORLD WIDE PANDEMIC, AND ALL 2021 BOARD MEETINGS WERE ALSO HELD ONLINE VIA ZOOM. A WORLD CONGRESS IS HELD EVERY FOUR YEARS WITH THE NEXT CONGRESS HAVING BEEN SCHEDULED FOR THE YEAR 2020 IN PARIS, FRANCE. DUE TO THE WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC, THE CONGRESS HAD BEEN POSTPONED AND IS NOW SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 2022.
