SANCTUARY/FOSTER CARE PROVIDED LONG TERM CARE TO PETS WHOM CANNOT BE ADTOPED TO THE PUBLIC, UTILIZED THESE PETS AS EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS STORIES FOR OUR CAUSE; SERVICES TO ABUSED/NEGLECTED PETS WITH SKILLED AND SUPPORTED FOSTER HOME AND TRAINERS TO OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS PRIMARILY IN KS/MO BUT FOR OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS OUT OF STATE AS WELL.
TRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL SERVICES: PROVIDED CLASSES, CONSULTATION, (PHONE SERVICES, IN HOME SERVICES, PLAY GROUPS, CLASSES, PRIVATE SESSIONS TO DOGS AND CATS WHO ARE FOSTERED, HOMELESS, OR IN HOMES WITH LOW INCOME FAMILIES OR TO ADOTPERS WHO HAVE ADOPTED A PET WITH BEHAVIORAL OR TRAINING NEEDS FOR THOSE WITH DIFFICULT PETS. WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO EXPAND ADDITIONAL SERVICES THIS YEAR.
ADOPTION/OUTREACH: ASSISTING ADOPTERS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO MAKE ADOPTION MATCHES THROUGH PROMOTIONS, MAINTAINING A WISH LIST, COLLECTING SUPPLIES/FUNDS FOR OTHERS TO HELP WITH ADOPTION OF MORE PETS, COLLECT SUPPLIES AND FUNDS FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES. PROVIDE SERVICES TO PETS THAT ARE HOMELSS WHEN ANIMALS OR LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS CAN NOT OR WILL NOT ASSIST.
