2021
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
MISSION OF JOY IS A TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO SUPPORT ORPHAN CHILDREN IN INDIA. WE HAVE PROVIDED THEM WITH ALL THEIR NEEDS, INCLUDING FOOD, HOUSING, CLOTHES, AND EDUCATION INCLUDING CHRISTIAN EDUCATION. WE HAVE SUPPORTED THREE ORPHANAGES, ALL THE STAFF INCLUDING TEACHERS AND PASTORS. WE ARE ALSO DEDICATED TO BRING THE GOOD NEWS OF GODS HOLY WORD THROUGHOUT MANY VILLAGES IN REMOTE INDIA THAT HAVE NEVER HEARD HIS WORD BEFORE.IN 2021 WE SENT APPROXIMATELY $24,000 TO INDIA TO SUPPORT STAFF WHO WERE UNDERPAID IN THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. AS WE NOTED LAST YEAR, BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC OUR SUPPORT HAS DROPPED PRECIPITOUSLY AND HAVE REDUCED WHAT WE ARE ABLE TO DO THERE. AT PRESENT, WE ARE SHRINKING OUR EXPENSES, AND HAVE RETURNED OUR CHILDREN TO THE HOMES OF THEIR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. IF THINGS CONTINUE, WE WILL CLOSE OUT AT THE END OF THIS CALENDAR YEAR, AND SUBMIT OUR FINAL RETURN IN 2021.BECAUSE SUPPORT DWINDLED PRECIPITOUSLY, WE BEGAN THE SHUTDOWN PROCESS IN 2020. WE TRANSFERRED CHILDREN TO OTHER ORPHANAGES, AND LAID OFF STAFF. WE CONCLUDED TAX RECEIPTS TO DONORS AT THE END OF 2020. WE SENT REMAINING FUNDS TO OUR LONGEST SERVING STAFF UNTIL OUR FUNDS WERE EMPTIED IN 2021. THIS WILL BE THE LAST YEAR WE WILL FILE TAX DOCUMENTS FOR MISSION OF JOY. YOU MAY DO WHAT IS NEEDED AT YOUR END TO REMOVE THE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE STATUS FOR MISSION OF JOY.
