PHILANTHROPY OHIO (POH) LEAD AND EQUIPPED OUR MEMBERS BY: (1) BRINGING PHILANTHROPY'S VOICE TO KEY EXTERNAL AUDIENCES INCLUDING MEDIA, STATE AND FEDERAL POLICY MAKERS AND THROUGH INTERACTION WITH OHIO'S STATEWIDE OFFICIALS AND CABINET STAFF, INCLUDING SERVING ON THE OHIO ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHARITABLE ADVISORY COUNCIL, THE OHIO COMPLETE COUNT COMMISSION, OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION'S REMOTEDX COORDINATING COUNCIL AND TREASURER SPRAGUE'S RESULTSOHIO ADVISORY COUNCIL ; (2) INFLUENCING STATE POLICY REFORM IN EDUCATION, HEALTH AND HOUSING THROUGH MEMBER-DRIVEN COALITIONS OF MEMBERS; (3) FORMING THE PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP OHIO COLLABORATIVE FOR EDUCATING REMOTELY AND TRANSFORMING SCHOOLS FUND; AND (5) ADVOCATING FOR POLICIES TO ADDRESS THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS.

IN 2021 POH OFFERED 65 PROGRAMS, SERVING OVER 1,400 PARTICIPANTS. INCLUDING THE VIRTUAL PHILANTHROPY FORWARD '21 CONFERENCE. IN ADDITION TO THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE, POH OFFERED PROGRAMS IN CORE COMPETENCY AREAS (COMMUNICATIONS, FINANCE & INVESTMENTS, GOVERNANCE, GRANTMAKING, ETC.) AND BY JOB POSITION (SCHOLARSHIP MANAGERS, EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS, ETC.) AND INTEREST AREAS (EQUITY PEER GROUPS, EDUCATION FUNDERS, ETC.), ALL OFFERED VIRTUALLY AFTER THE MARCH SHUT-DOWN. POH ALSO ENHANCED KNOWLEDGE BY ANSWERING 121 REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION IN 2021 AND PRODUCING 156 NEWSLETTERS AND SPECIALIZED PUBLICATIONS INCLUDING THE OHIO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ROSTER, A REGION- AND OHIO-SPECIFIC COMPENSATION REPORT AND THE OHIO GIVES REPORT.
CONVENING: ENGAGING PEOPLE IN MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS, PROVIDING SPACE FOR LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER, COLLABORATING AND STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIPS IN ORDER TO AMPLIFY IMPACT.
