THE CENTER FOR RELIGIOUS HUMANISM (CRH) FOSTERS CONTEMPORARY ART AND WRITING THAT GRAPPLE WITH THE MYSTERY OF BEING HUMAN BY CURATING, CULTIVATING, CONVENING, AND CELEBRATING WORK THAT EXPLORES RELIGIOUS FAITH AND FACES SPIRITUAL QUESTIONS. THE CRH PUBLISHES A QUARTERLY JOURNAL, "IMAGE,- AND RUNS WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES, AND ART EVENTS.

WE BELIEVE THAT ONE OF OUR CHIEF RESPONSIBILITIES IS TO FOSTER THE GROWTH OF EMERGING ARTISTS OF ALL AGES. OUR EFFORTS TO THAT EFFECT INCLUDE A WORKSHOP-STYLE CONFERENCE EACH SUMMER OFFERING ART COURSES, LECTURES, READINGS, AND CONCERTS WITH 200 ATTENDEES. IT ALSO INCLUDES SPONSORSHIP OF VARIOUS EVENTS IN SEATTLE, INCLUDING READINGS AND CONCERTS.


THE LITERARY QUARTERLY JOURNAL, IMAGE, IS THE CORNERSTONE OF THE CENTER FOR RELIGIOUS HUMANISM. WITH A CIRCULATION OF 2000 TO 3000 PER ISSUE, IMAGE DEMONSTRATES THE CONTINUED VITALITY AND DIVERSITY OF CONTEMPORARY ART AND LITERATURE THAT ENGAGE WITH THE RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS OF WESTERN CULTURE. THE JOURNAL FORMS THE NEXUS OF A WARM AND ACTIVE COMMUNITY.


WE HOST A VARIETY OF ONLINE EVENTS AIMED AT FOSTERING THE GROWTH OF EMERGING WRITERS AND ARTISTS. THESE ONLINE WORKSHOPS INCLUDE IN-DEPTH MANUSCRIPT REVIEWS AND DEDICATED FEEDBACK IN SMALL-GROUP SETTINGS, LED BY WORLD-CLASS FACULTY.
