WAS FORMED TO OPERATE A TAX-EXEMPT HOSPITAL AND NOW OWNS AND OPERATES TAX-EXEMPT HOSPITAL FACILITIES AND OTHER HEALTH CARE FACILITIES IN COLUMBUS, OHIO. ITS PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE CHILDREN'S HEALTH CARE IN THE CENTRAL OHIO COMMUNITY. FOUNDED IN 1892, NCH INC. HAS DEVELOPED INTO ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST SOPHISTICATED HEALTH CARE CENTERS IN THE COUNTRY, FEATURING 551 INPATIENT BEDS AT ITS HOSPITAL, NATIONWIDE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL (NATIONWIDE CHILDREN'S), INCLUDING CRITICAL CARE UNITS, TRANSPLANT SERVICES, PEDIATRIC SUB-SPECIALISTS AND SURGICAL FACILITIES.
