DATV IS A COMMUNITY FORUM THAT EMPOWERS ALL CITIZENS TO LEARN, CREATE AND EXPRESS THEIR IDEAS.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

SUPPORT THE FREEDOM TO COMMUNICATE BY PROVIDING TRAINING, EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES AND AIR TIME FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS TO PRODUCE THEIR OWN NON-COMMERCIAL CABLE TELEVISION PROGRAMS. IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS-VOLUNTEERS: VOLUNTEER SERVICES ARE VALUED AT $15.00 PER HOUR FOR A TOTAL VALUE OF SERVICES OF $26,025 FOR THE YEAR. AT THE END OF 2023 DATV HAD APPROXIMATELY 311 MEMBERS. DURING 2023 DATV MEMBERS PRODUCED 3,086 NEW TV PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, 103 DIFFERENT TRAINING CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS SERVING 264 PARTICIPANTS WERE OFFERED DURING THE YEAR THAT ALLOWED CITIZENS TO CREATE THEIR OWN TELEVISION PROGRAMS.
